SWAG: Splatting in the Wild Images with Appearance-conditioned Gaussians
Published in ECCV 2024, 2024
Abstract
SWAG extends 3D Gaussian Splatting to unconstrained image collections by introducing appearance-conditioned Gaussians and transient object modeling. The approach reconstructs photorealistic scenes from Internet-scale imagery while remaining compatible with real-time rendering.
Key Contributions
- Appearance-conditioned Gaussian Splatting
- Transient object modeling
- Robust reconstruction from in-the-wild images
- Real-time novel-view synthesis
- State-of-the-art performance on outdoor landmarks
